Doug brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to Dirks Automotive and Transmission as a whole. He has resided in the Oroville area since 1972 and started off in the business like the son of many shop owners, cleaning parts and getting greasy. Doug has been through the ranks since then: R&R tech, builder, diagnostician and accomplished owner and businessman. He is also a member of the Sonnax Tasc Force Team which researches and develops products that are essential to the drivetrain industry. He is a firm believer in continued education for his employees and has dedicated himself to the future of this company

Bill brings 15 years of automotive experience and 20 years of customer service experience to Dirks Automotive and Transmission. Bill started his career in customer service when his parents bought a restaurant in the mountains and put him at the front counter of the business, and around the same time began his automotive career working part time at the local service station. He then attended the automotive program at Butte College and has worked locally in the automotive trade since then.

Bill has occupied positions in parts, service advisor, service manager as well as general manager and has experienced independent repair shops, corporate repairs shops as well as dealerships. Believing as strongly about training as Doug does, Bill also engages in ongoing training in customer service and management to provide his staff and customers a great experience at Dirks Automotive and Transmission.

Brenda brings 17 years of automotive and customer service experience to the company. She began her career in the parts department of the industry and has been with Dirks Automotive and Transmission since 1998. Her vast amount of knowledge in both automotive and transmission service gives her the unique ability to use that knowledge in educating our customers and providing them with a truly exceptional customer service experience. She continues ongoing training in automotive service writing and is dedicated to our clients and their experience with us.

Larry has been in the industry since 1977 where he started as an R&R tech in a small shop in Long Beach, California. The owner of that shop was fond of him and taught him everything he needed to know about the transmission industry. Larry then moved his family to Northern California in 1989 and has worked for Dirks Automotive and Transmission ever since. He has been committed to the continuation of education and training by attending technical seminars and courses throughout his career.

During Larry’s years of training he has also been learning and performing general auto repair. As a member of the Sonnax Tasc Force Team and part of the Dirks Automotive and Transmission management team Larry has put his training and skills to good use while being relied upon to help with special projects within the business.

Jeremy started his career in 1985 by serving 3 years of active duty in the United States Army. During these 3 years he learned and performed power generation and equipment repair in addition to serving his country. Soon after he returned he began working in a small shop primarily building CV axles and drivelines. Jeremy then came to work at Dirks Automotive and Transmission in 1991 and has excelled since then.

As many have, he started as an R&R tech and has worked his way up to a transmission builder while gaining an advanced knowledge of electrical systems and diagnostics which has also helped the company in the general auto repair division. Jeremy is also a member of the Sonnax Tasc Force Team and has been committed to the continuation of education and training by attending technical seminars and courses throughout his career.

Rob has been an Oroville native since 1965 and started working on cars with his Dad since he was old enough to hold a light and hand him a wrench! He then went on to attend Butte College where he received a Certificate of Achievement in Automotive Technology. Rob has been with Dirks Automotive and Transmission since 1988 and his specialties include differential rebuilds, gear train, transmission R&R, drivability and diagnosis as wells as a good knowledge base in general auto repair. Like the entire Dirks Automotive and TransmissionTeam, Rob has been committed to the continuation of education and training by attending technical seminars and courses throughout his career.

Mike has been with Dirks Automotive and Transmission since 2005 and has been in the industry since 1990. He is a graduate of UTI Technical Institute and has excelled in the industry since then. He has experienced corporate repair shops as well as independent repair shops and does it all from oil changes to engine replacements to advanced diagnostics. Mike is truly dedicated to staying on top of new information, technology and tooling. As a ASE Certified Master Technician Mike is always eager to attend any and all training that is offered. He is also part of the Dirks Automotive and Transmission management team and is in charge of all In-House trainings.

Jack has been in the industry professionally since 1996, but has been turning wrenches since he was kid on hot rods with his Dad. He has been with Dirks Automotive and Transmission collectively for over 10 years and provides the shop with a wealth of automotive knowledge from hot rods to imports. Jack is an ASE Certified Master Technician that brings years of experience on Honda & Acura and is also well versed in all other makes and models. His years of advanced technical training and certificates assist him in all phases of his job and although time consuming Jack continues to further his education by attending trainings and courses that are offered.
